Turkey Breast Roast Cooking Instructions

HANDLING

  • Keep frozen at 0°F until ready to use.
  • Do not remove bag for thawing or cooking.
  • Roast may be cooked from either frozen or thawed state.

THAWING

  • Refrigerator: 2-3 days at 36-40°F (5-6 hours per pound).
  • Running water: Put under COLD running water 45 min/lb.
  • Microwave: Remove metal clip from end. Defrost on microwavable tray per manufacturer’s directions.

ROASTING (Conventional or convection oven)

  • DO NOT REMOVE BAG FROM ROAST!
  • Place seam side down in shallow pan.
  • Roast until the center reaches 165°F.  Cooking times are as follows, shown in minutes per pound. Cooking times are approximate and may vary slightly due to oven type:
From Thaw From Frozen
Conventional (325°F)  25 – 30  30 – 35
Convection (300°F)  20 – 25  25 – 30

SLICING TIPS

  • Let Roast stand 30 – 40 minutes before carving.
  • Drain juices from bag (CAUTION:HOT!).
  • Remove bag from roast.
  • Carve into slices of desired thickness.
